Sweetest Dog in the World Needs New Home

14 December 2009

storm2Storm is a beautiful, kind, and full of life catahoula leopard dog that has been with us since she was 7 weeks old. She will be six years old in April 2010. We adopted her from the local animal shelter in Houston, Texas. She has moved to California with us and she loves it. She loves the cool walks and the fun parks.

I am going to start working full-time in January and will no longer be able to give her the attention she deserves. She is very loyal and protective of her family. I am looking for a woman that will be able to spend a great deal of time with her, take her on walks, sit with her during the day and allow her to sleep next to your bed at night or in her crate.

storm3Storm has been neutered, she is fully house trained, crate trained when you leave the home, and has her own bed for those cold nights. She is current on all shots and has her nails trimmed regularly. She is roughly the size of a dalmatian.

She has a beautiful low rumbly bark that warns solicitors to go away and she has the sweetest talking voice when greeting friends and family.

What is a catahoula dog? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catahoula_Leopard_Dog

There will be a small adoption fee of $25 and an interview. Please contact Anna Campbell at 925-399-1629.

California Real Estate Exam Review

14 December 2009

Preparing for the California state real estate exam has been very daunting and challenging.  I attended the three required college level real estate courses at Chamberlin Real Estate School in Campbell, CA.  This past weekend was the cram crash course consisting of two days from 9am to 4pm filled with stories, scenarios, plans, and information.

Our instructor, Lane Kulwin, brought humor and genuine practicality to the cram process. Through his hours of inputting data into our minds we were molded into students ready to take and pass the state exam.

Many participating students are scheduled to take the state exam over the next two weeks.  My exam date is scheduled for Wednesday, December 23, 2009. This is a very special day as it is also my husbands birthday. My parents are flying in for the holidays and they will be here to spend time with Jerdahn while I am in Oakland, CA challenging my memory and successfully passing this exam.

——-

The exam was difficult but pretty straight forward. I took each question at face value, did not read into it and did not second guess myself. I passed the first time taking this exam. Thankfully! I did not want to go through that level of stress again.  Driving to Oakland, CA arriving at 6:30am, finding a parking garage, then figuring out where I was so that I could remember how to get back to my car.

Stopped for a cup of coffee, spoke with some very nice people, picked up a city map and easily found my way the exam location with the help of a very nice person I met at the coffee shop. Quickly went through security, checked-in for the exam and was able to start immediately!  The computers are under a see through table top, sometimes the ceiling lights glare onto the glass and you have to look sideways while taking your exam.

It took me 45 minutes to complete the exam. And I received my score immediately after I left the examination room. The relief that consumed me once I opened the letter and read, “Congratulations”… I didn’t even continue reading. My relief then turned into resignation to go find my car.

Once in my car, I was overjoyed! I couldn’t believe I passed and just laughed and laughed! Thank goodness that was over!

I give alot of credit for my passing this exam the first time to the crash course I took through Chamberlin Real Estate School with Lane Kulwin.
